I was the Director of Photography on this commercial for Jonathan Simkhai’s new line of high-end activity wear, as featured by Harper’s Bazaar. Thanks to long-time collaborator Rik Cordero, we were able to keep our lighting demands very minimal while still showing off the design and function of the product. The 1896 studio is a gorgeous urban-industrial setting, which helped us by surrounding the dancers in texture without distracting. Using takes with multiple wardrobes throughout the day, we utilized handheld camera operation to keep the energy high.
